Emma Staley

Emma started dancing at two years old and began dancing competitively in 2012. She is trained in Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, and Tap. She started with jazz solos in 2014, but then expanded her focus to Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, and Lyrical as she got older. In 2018 Emma competed in the World Tap Championships for Team Canada in Riesa, Germany, and won the silver medal in Tap.

In Emma's dance career thus far, she has worked under Mathew Clark, Christie McKay, Mike Glenney, and Teddy Forance.

Emma is entering her second year at York University with a target of graduating from the kinesiology program in 2025. As her love for teaching dance grows, she plans to work towards double majoring in dance. Emma is continuing her dance career as a member of York University's Dance Team, Dance energy.
